Integrated Float Glass Manufacturing & Processing Plant

Jade Glass aims to create the first glass manufacturing and processing facility in Afghanistan, to be located in

Balkh Province in northern Afghanistan and near natural gas and raw material sources.  Afghanistan

currently imports all glass from neighboring countries, primarily Iran, for its construction projects.

 

Imported glass products suffer from long-lead times for order and delivery, poor quality, high cost of shipments, breakage, and a lack of response to local market needs.  Jade Glass will displace costly imports by manufacturing

4-10 mm clear and colored float glass and process this glass into tempered, laminated and other

value-added products for architectural and decorative uses.
